Trader Joe’s Haul…

I have been asked numerous times to do a Trader Joe’s haul, so here it is! This post is in collaboration with Clevermade- a brand that makes these amazing collapsible totes that I always use when I go grocery shopping. I actually use them for more than just groceries. I have found them super convenient with all the kids stuff they take to school every day, as well as taking loads of clothes to donation/consignment.

If you haven’t checked them out, I really cannot recommend them enough.
They are sold at online retailers that I will link in this post. I am using the aqua collapsible tote (on prime) but I also have their striped one (also on prime) that I love.

The other thing this brand makes that I shared on my stories a couple weeks ago are these super-cool air lounge chairs and giant umbrellas. My kids love them but I also find them super comfortable and convenient. They would be great for the beach or pool side as well.

Moving on to the Trader Joe’s haul- these are all household staples for us. A few things my kids can’t be without, and a few things I can’t be without!

Sweet Potato Gnocchi- This is Emmy’s favorite meal, plus it’s SO easy to prepare. They have this at least once a week for dinner. Emmy would have it every night if she could.

Blueberry Waffles- Both my kids love blueberry waffles in the morning. The TJ ones are SO much better than other grocery store brands we have tried.

Butternut Squash Ravioli- Another fan favorite of the kids but also my husband and I. Again, it’s super easy! I like to saute a bag of spinach with garlic and olive oil and put that over the ravioli. This is one meal that I can actually make!

Brown Rice- This one seems silly but I started buying the TJ bag rice shortly after college and have been hooked ever since! Three minutes in the microwave and it’s done and perfect every single time. It’s a staple in all our different veggie bowls we make.

Hatch Chile Mac and Cheese- This is one of my favorites. Frozen mac and cheese isn’t something that sounds super appealing but this one is delicious! Again, five minutes in the microwave and it’s perfect every time. I eat this for lunch probably once a week.

Jalepeno Sauce- This is a newer item for us but we have already rebought it. It’s great on our veggie bowls or in a quesadilla or burrito. It’s spicy but seriously so good!

Perfect Bars- My husband and I are both hooked on these! We will often eat one after working out. The peanut butter chocolate chip is hands-down our favorite! These are full of protein and good for you, plus they don’t have that dried-out, chalky texture that I feel like a lot of protein bars have.

100-Calorie Milk Chocolate Bars- These are my guilty pleasure! I eat one almost every night after dinner and it satisfies my sweet tooth (for the most part). They also come in dark chocolate but I much prefer milk over dark.

Almond Butter Cups- I randomly bought these one day and OMG are they delicious!! Honestly the best nut-butter-cup I have ever tried. I highly recommend them!

A few other staples that I didn’t really discuss but we love in our house: Frozen Indian food, Frozen Naan bread, Spinach Artichoke Jalepeno dip, and Cherry Chocolate Chip Soy Ice cream.

What are YOUR Trader Joe’s staple items? Please share! I am always looking for new things to try!

I love a few of the ready made salads: the butternut squash , quinoa and red pepper salad is really good.
I like their salmon burger and chili lime chicken burgers. Both are good sources of protein and quick to prepare.
The Tika Masala sauce is delicious and easy to mix with veggies and chicken (vegetarian would be easy and so yummy too) served over TJ’s rice or their rice blend. I use a variety of veggies (onion, zucchini, carrots, broccoli and bell peppers, the sauce and some coconut milk).
I like many of their spices; EBTB (everything but the bagel) seasoning, the pepper blends (with a grinder), the chili lime and the onion salt are my favorites.
If you like brownies or pumpkin bread, Trader Joe’s mixes are great to keep on hand. They are really good and make a nice something to take to somebody.
My guilty pleasure are the chocolate dipped strawberries and bananas. Super yummy.
Finally the rosemary raisin crackers and Trader Joe’s goat cheese make a great appetizer to keep on hand.
This is a long list but I actually don’t have a store close by. I drive almost an hour to the closest store so I stock up and take my time in the store.
