The Perfect Pair of Denim Shorts- Topshop for Spring!

perfect pair of denim shorts

As spring and summer are (slowly) approaching here in New England, I have started my annual hunt for the perfect pair of denim shorts. Ones that are not too distressed, not too short, not too faded, etc. As you can imagine, there are a lot of boxes to check off. I have tried on and returned at least 5 pairs already this season BUT I think I have finally found the perfect pair of denim cutoff shorts- these ones by Topshop check off ALL of my boxes AND they are only $55- that is a win win for sure. Sizing can definitely be a tricky thing with shorts. My recommendation for these ones- get your size that is in the parentheses. So I am normally a 25/0 and I ordered the US 2 because it said, “fits like 0.” They fit perfectly and are totally mom appropriate.
While I was shopping, I also snagged this super cute soft and cozy sweatshirt. I got it in a size small, it is a little oversized on me but I don’t mind that look. The day these pictures were taken it was about 35 degrees outside and the wind was whipping so hard. This sweatshirt was definitely necessary but I definitely still felt a little silly running around in shorts and sandals! Speaking of sandals though, the ones I am wearing here are SO comfortable and help make my legs look tan! I also applied this ‘Body Blur” product to try to make my legs look a little more ready for shorts! They fit true to size and come in a few colors.

So to conclude if you are constantly on the hunt for the perfect pair denim shorts, look no further. They have been found! Now the search continues for a white pair of cutoffs!

How to Buy Designer Handbags For Less!

Calling all designer handbag lovers!

Okay here it is! This is always such a highly requested post! I get asked all the time where to buy designer bags for less than retail and trust me- I know ALLLLL the places! I hate paying full price for a bag- especially when I can get one LIKE NEW for hundreds of dollars less.

Enter my new favorite site: StockX.

It works a lot like other auction sites where you can buy it now (at the lowest price indicated by the seller) or bid and hope your bid gets accepted. I was lucky enough to be able to get my hands on this Louis Vuitton Pallas clutch- which is another reason why I love buying preloved! This bag has been unavailable on the LV site for months so you can imagine how happy I was when I was able to snag it on StockX.

The bag arrived with no signs of wear at all – that’s because StockX only sells pieces that are in excellent condition. You won’t find a beat up designer bag on their site so there should be no surprises when your bag arrives! They also authenticate all of their products so you don’t have to worry about that aspect at all. When doing a handbag search, you can narrow your search by only searching specific designers or budget, color, handbag style, etc.The other thing is, they sell much more than just handbags so if you are in the market for sneakers or watches, they also have a ton of those listed.
So now you know my little secret! If there’s a bag you have been eyeing, check out StockX first before buying it brand new. OR if there’s a bag you have been trying to get your hands on but can’t (like me with the LV Pallas), check out their site, maybe you will get lucky like I did!

BONUS- If you are a first-time buyer on StockX, you will get $50 off your first purchase!

Also if you have more questions- here is their FAQ page.

How to Style Ugg Boots- Part One

It should come as no surprise to you all that I LOVE my Ugg boots! I own a bunch and wear them all the time- from around November to April- when it’s really cold, wet and snowy here. Nordstrom is always one of my first go-to’s for the newest Ugg styles- not only for me but for my entire family. Today I am styling two pairs and later on in part 2, I will be styling two more pairs. In my opinion they are just the best for winter in terms of both warmth and style. Plus almost every pair of their boots come in a variety of colors so there is something for everyone!

Fuzzy Jacket…

If you know me at all, you know I probably did NOT need another fuzzy jacket. I have so many already BUT when you live where it’s cold half the year, you really do get your cost per wear out of them. Anyways- I was not in the market for another jacket until I saw this fuzzy one when shopping in Nordstrom last week. It stopped me in my tracks because it looks (and is) SO SOFT. I grabbed it immediately and went to the cash register. I think I even sold the girl who was ringing me up on it too. She was going to go check it out after! It really is such a good one and less than $100. It would also make a great gift for a sister, best friend, mom, girlfriend, etc. I know if my husband gifted it to me, I would be over the moon! Sizing wise, I took my regular size and was still able to wear a sweater under it as you can see! So stick to your normal size!

Moving on- let’s discuss this sweater quickly. It is so soft! Like so so soft and comes in 9 colors! I am definitely going to be ordering another one or two. I have my eye on the pink one (for a pop of color) and the coral color. I took my regular size and it works great. If you want it to look even more loose and relaxed you could size up one size.

Lastly- these shoes. Oh my goodness, you guys know my obsession with them is SO real. They are hands-down the most gorgeous pair of shoes I have ever owned. The detail on them is just stunning AND they are actually comfortable. Total score! They also run true to size.

So next time you are in Nordstrom, don’t forget to check out the outerwear section, even if you already have 100 different coats and jackets like I do! You never know what you’re going to stumble on that you just have to have.

You probably know by now that I am ALLLLL about the cozy knits this time of year! I am basically living in sweaters 24/7- from now until April! It actually snowed a little this morning so it’s completely justified. Now is the perfect time to head into Express for some holiday shopping and pick up a few cozy pieces for yourself or as gifts! Bonus- I have a discount code for you to make your holiday shopping a little easier on the wallet!

Right now Express is running a promo- $25 off your in-store purchase of $100 or more using code: 2253 until 12/15. Terms and Conditions apply- can not be combined with any other promotions.

Sizing info-
I took a small in the ruffle sleeve sweater.  I am normally an XS in tops but I needed to size up for more length. In the cowlneck sweater I took an XS- it is a bit more oversized!  In the jeans I took a 00S- they hit me right at the ankle. They are tight but not TOO tight. The 0 was too loose.
