A Year In Review- 2019

2019 was the busiest and best year for me! I got to check off a few things from my blogging bucket list, so some traveling and meet a few IG turned real life friends. Here is a mini review of some of my highlights from the past year!

Transforming my home with the help of Serena and Lily– This year I was able to make some major upgrades and beautiful changes to our home with help from my favorite decor brand Serena and Lily. We made our living room come alive and become so much more inviting with a new couch and lots of blue decor accents. We were able to take our dining area from drab to WOW with new chairs and a rug. it’s amazing how changing a few small things adds a big impact to your space. The kitchen got new counter stools which again, really elevated the room. Our bedroom and bathroom also got more hints of blue spread throughout. I think blue and white accents has become the primary decorating colors in my house and I just love it. It’s so fitting considering we live in New England. None of these changes would have been possible without the help of Serena and Lily- so a huge thank you to them!

I was also able to work with one of my favorite brands of all-time- J.Crew. And what made it even better was that Emmy was in the posts with me- matching! I just love these pics and will forever cherish them.

Another brand that I have been able to work with through out the year was J.Crew Factory. It’s been an honor and a privilege to be recognized by the brand after all the promoting I did in the past with #BabesinBlazers. It was genuinely a special moment when they reached out to collaborate with me!

In May one of my best friends and I took a trip to CT. It was SO fun and memorable. The entire trip was centered around meeting with Dudley Stephens and visiting their Townhouse. We were actually star struck and it was SO cool to see where all our favorite brand operates. Lauren and Kaki were also sweet as could be which made the experience that much more special. During our trip we also got to have dinner with one of my long-time IG friends Liz Joy from Pure Joy Home. It’s always so fun when IG friends become real friends.

Over the summer I did a little bit of traveling with my family but we mostly stayed put. Maine isn’t a place you want to leave in the summer but we did fly to Toronto for our annual summer trip. We went to a Blue Jay’s game and Canada’s Wonderland- I look forward to the day at Canada’s Wonderland all year long. It was my favorite day in all of 2019! Can’t wait for next year’s visit!

I actually took a second trip to CT this fall for an even with Sail to Sable- another brand i have loved and have worked with for years. During this trip I was also able to meet a few more IG friends turned real friends- Ailsa from Happy Go Curly, Rachel Moore from Pinteresting Plans and Krista Robertson from Covering the Bases. It was a fun-filled 24 hour trip for sure!

Thank you for all your support and following along with me this past year. I am so excited for everything that 2020 has in store!!

First Snow…

We just got our first snow here a couple days ago! How quickly we can go from grass to a winter wonderland! I made sure to bundle up in my newest Walmart pieces to stay warm but not break the bank! My boots are SO good. I can’t even believe that they are less than $35. I have a nearly identical pair that cost $200. I had to double check that I took the correct boots for these photos because they are THAT similar. I also wanted to make sure to show you all this tunic sweatshirt in another color. I have been wearing the purple one a lot that I shared in this post. I love the pockets and the longer length makes it perfect to pair with leggings like I did here. Lastly- my puffer coat is great for the chillier temps! It comes in an xs as well which is nice for us more petite girls! It comes in lots of colors. I went with classic black but it comes in a hot pink that I love!

Have you checked out Walmart’s winter boots section yet? If you live somewhere that gets cold, I would highly recommend going there before anywhere else. I actually own 4 pairs of their boots- all of which I have gotten in the past month and all of which I am extremely impressed and happy with! I will leave them all here with the rest of my outfit details! Enjoy!

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own and genuine!

Warm and cozy at home…

I have been keeping nice and cozy lately with all my soft Jockey pieces! My sherpa tunic would make an amazing gift for any woman. I love the longer length- perfect to wear with leggings or my favorite Jockey joggers! It also comes in navy and grey. I think I need one more color to add to my wardrobe. For reference, I am wearing a small in the joggers and sherpa tunic. I am also wearing a small in the sherpa cardigan (it appears to be sold out right now. I will continue to check for restocks) and my favorite layering camisole! I own the camisole in both white and black and wear them under everything! I also just found this amazing looking blanket wrap that I think we all need! So cozy!

Thank you to Jockey for sponsoring this post. As always, all opinions are my own and genuine!
