Sustainably-Sourced Pieces…

Lately I have been trying to be more conscientious of what I am wearing and where it is coming from. This is very important to me and I am thrilled that Nordstrom now carries sustainable style pieces! They have partnered with brands that have smaller environmental footprints, such as Patagonia, Treasure & Bond, Eileen Fisher, etc. These are brands that I’m sure you already know and love! Nordstrom has put these enviornmentally-conscious brands into three categories- Sustainably Sourced, Responsibly Manufactured and Gives Back. This outfit is made entirely of sustainable style pieces. I love how it came together. I would wear this out and about or to the gym. My sneakers are actually made from recycled bottles and beech tree kelp! Do yourself and the Earth a favor and check it out. You can shop all these categories on their website.

New Pieces from Jockey…

I am super excited to be partnering with Jockey over the next few months to bring you all some of my favorite pieces. The brand is all about quality and comfort which are two key things I look for when selecting pieces of clothing to buy!

I immediately gravitated towards this vest because it’s REVERSIBLE! I love when a piece has multiple purposes- so much more bang for your buck! It comes in quite a few colors as well. I love how chic fluffy side looks but I also like how warm and outdoors-y the smooth side looks. You can really get two very different looks out of this one piece!

I decided to wear this tunic-style sweatshirt under the vest. It’s warm and great quality plus the color is beautiful. I love the longer length of it- perfect to pair with these new shine leggings, also by Jockey! I can never say no to black leggings, especially when they are slightly more elevated than just plain black leggings. These have a shine to them and look almost like leather. They are so comfy too! By the way, I am wearing a small in all three pieces, I would say the fit for all of them is true to size! I also ended up getting this cowl neck sweatshirt too- I love the style of it and can’t wait to wear it!

Have you worn Jockey pieces before or are you new to the brand? If you own Jockey, what are your must-haves?

Affordable Fall Fashion…

Sometimes I find myself just wondering around Walmart for fashion inspiration. I am telling you- more things speak to me there than I ever expected. This sweater being one of them! It’s so soft and classic and the little mock neck got me. It comes in a few colors but I loved the idea of pairing the grey with these leopard flats and black jeans (similar) for a fall feel. I am wearing a size small in the sweater and my regular size 8 in the flats.

I honestly can’t believe the sweater is less than $15 and the leopard shoes are less than $10? Insane!

Welcome welcome! I know you guys all love a good sale and this one is not to be missed. Serena & Lily is having their 20% off Friends and Family sale now through Oct 14! Everything is 20% off. I repeat, EVERYTHING is 20% off. Serena and Lily believes that living well begins at home, and what better way to refresh your home than with a sale!

Whether you have been wanting to make big changes like with new furniture or small changes that create a big impact- like switching out throw pillows, now is the time to do it. Take advantage of this incredible sale while you can!

I had a lot of questions about my living room pillows so I wanted to share them with you here. I also got the pillow inserts from Serena and Lily as well, linked here. It’s amazing what just changing out your throw pillows can do for your space. I have completely transformed this room from drab to a more cozy and nautical feel, just by getting some new pillows. I really love how they turned out. I kept the blue color scheme but selected different textures within the blue family to give visual interest. I also made sure to select different sizes. I have 24 inch squares, 22 inch squares and the lumbar pillow to again add some visual interest. I didn’t want everything to be all the same size and I really think the space turned out perfectly.

Eliott has loved curling up in our new throw blanket. Color is coastal blue.

Ps. this is also a time to order those famous Riviera chairs if you have been contemplating them like I did for YEARS. Here are mine in my kitchen- I love them so much! They really MAKE the space so much more inviting and bright.

Are you looking to refresh your home? If so, what room? Give me allllll the details! I love home decor!
