Are swans a new trend? I am seeing them everywhere these days and I just LOVE them! I was shopping the Nordstrom kids clothes as I often do (hehe!) and noticed so many pieces of swan clothing! I decided to order Emmy this dress because I knew she would love the sequin skirt! She even said she felt like a fairy princess in it! How sweet! I found Elliott this super fuzzy and coordinating sweatshirt and built their outfits from there! Also I want to mention, I have a hard time finding shoes and boots that fit on Elliott’s chunky little feet but these Ugg boots fit great! You can really open them up so you aren’t blindly jamming their foot in which is key when your child has a very high instep/fat feet like Elliott! Anyways- I hope you love their little outfits as much as I do!
I am back again with a couple more of my favorite Ugg boots to share with you! I saved my very favorite ones for last. Of all the department stores, Nordstrom definitely has the biggest selection. That is where I always go when looking for new boots. These two boots- the Adirondack and the Blayre are just SO GOOD. The Adirondack are really great for walking around in the snow- hiking, shoveling (ugh!) and anything else where you know you will be outside in the snow. You can also fold them own so they aren’t as tall but I prefer the taller look. The Blayre boots are my other favorite pair. They were the first ones I got from Ugg that were not the ‘classic’ style. These are also heavy duty but a little nicer looking- less rugged (if that makes sense). If I worked in an office and had to look nice- I would definitely wear these ones to and from the office.
Outfit One: Adirondack Boots– $224-runs TTS, I can still wear heavy socks with them as well | Poncho $110- wearing an XS/S | Jeans $225, runs TTS | Earrings $36 | Bag: Goyard-PM Size
Outfit Two: Blayre Boots $199-runs TTS, I can also wear heavy socks with these too | Jacket $139- wearing an XS< runs TTS | Sweater $49- wearing an XS, runs TTS | Jeans $225, runs TTS | Earrings $36 | Bag: Goyard-PM Size
It should come as no surprise to you all that I LOVE my Ugg boots! I own a bunch and wear them all the time- from around November to April- when it’s really cold, wet and snowy here. Nordstrom is always one of my first go-to’s for the newest Ugg styles- not only for me but for my entire family. Today I am styling two pairs and later on in part 2, I will be styling two more pairs. In my opinion they are just the best for winter in terms of both warmth and style. Plus almost every pair of their boots come in a variety of colors so there is something for everyone!
So for the last few months, Emmy has been asking us for a big girl bed. We were a little reluctant at first but decided it was a good time for her to work towards it- as a goal. She loves sticker charts and is always asking to make them for one thing or another and she is at the age where she totally understands the actual concept and that she has to earn what she wants and if she does what we ask of her, she will get a reward at the end. So my husband and I decided we would make her a sticker chart and once she stayed in her bed a certain number of nights- she would get her big girl bed And low and behold- it worked like a charm. We went through a really rough patch for a while where she would not stay in her bed at all. Every night we would have to bring her back into her room over and over again. We really did not want her to get into the habit that it’s okay and normal to sleep in our bed. For us, that just won’t work. I know for some people it does, but we did not want to get into that.
Anyways- I digress. My point is, the sticker chart worked like a charm and after she filled up the first row, she was able to get her big girl bed. My husband built it and I dressed it all up one day when she as out with her Mimi. The look on her face when she saw her new bed was absolutely PRICELESS. She is so in love with this bed, words can’t even describe it!
So here is her bed (and Emmy) in all her glory! This bed was actually a crib first and with the bed rails, we were able to make it into a full size bed. I plan on her being in this bed until college! Ha! We shall see!
