My Best Furniture Purchase to date…

A couple weeks ago I had a few questions about my Serena & Lily Riviera bar stools and chairs, and if I was happy with my purchase. It has been a couple of years now since I bought them and I can tell you with 100% certainty, it was the best furniture purchase of mine to date. Not only are they beautiful to look at, but they are incredibly durable and easy to clean. My kids have spilled everything on them, written on them, crumbs galore, yet they still look brand new to this day. I have found it works best to just spray them down with a surface cleaner and wipe down with a sponge or towel. Once or twice a year we take them outside to power wash them with the hose and that REALLY does the trick. Every little crumb and spot comes right out. So yes, they are a little pricey but for me, they have been so worth the investment. We actually have both the island bar stools and the dining chairs in the fog/white color and I just love them. Perfectly neutral but with a bit of coastal flare to them.

New Bedroom Update!

One of my friends likes to joke that every time she comes over, my house is decorated differently. Furniture deliveries are not an uncommon occurrence at our house- especially this year! The biggest change has come in our bedroom. After years and years (I think 9 to be exact) of sub par furniture, I decided to upgrade the bedroom. This post is in collaboration with Serena & Lily. In full transparency, they did give me a small credit to use on the site but I didn’t actually use it on anything for the bedroom. I will share what I used it on in this post though! There’s lots of new things to show you…

For our bedroom, I didn’t want all white everything like I had in the past but I didn’t want to venture too far outside my light-colored comfort zone. The —– collection from Serena and Lily fit the bill perfectly. These pieces were definitely a splurge, but I am hoping they will last for years to come. The textural detail is my favorite and I love how they are neutral and natural but can be either nautical looking or more chic, depending on how you style them. I am still playing around with styling the pieces- specifically the two main bureaus but I really wanted to get this post up before the new year~ I think I need a little more height on the left side of my bureau, but otherwise I am very satisfied with how everything has turned out!

My long Blake dresser is my favorite piece. It is stunning.

I went with the 3-drawer Blake nightstands so I could hide more of my junk 🙂

I do not plan on keeping this bench at the end of the bed but until I find something better, it is staying.

Jason’s dresser is the ‘tall’ Blake dresser. We did the color ‘natural’ for everything.

This chair swing is one of my favorite pieces in the house. Plus it’s actually very comfortable!

I have had my eye on this teak ladder for a while. It matches the —teak mirror I got previously from Serena and Lily.

I have wanted this side cart for a LONG time. I am still working on the styling component of it but I just love it. Plus it also matches our coffee table in the blue living room.

Thank you to Serena and Lily for sponsoring this post. Our home is a continual work in progress but at this point, I am loving every bit of it! I am excited to see what sort of changes I will make in the house in 2021-I am thinking of possibly tackling the family room or turning our office into Elliott’s bedroom and his current bedroom into a guest room. Stay tuned!

Holiday Kits = Big Savings

With 2021 right around the corner, many of us are making resolutions of all sorts. Maybe this is the year you will start working out or maybe it’s the year you are going to start taking your skin care seriously. If that is the case, this is the post for you! I have been using and loving Tula for years and if you have wanted to dip your toes into their products, now is the perfect time.

Tula’s holiday kits are the best deal- they are heavy discounted in the bundle, plus you can use my code on top of that! MRSCOCO will get you an additional 15% off anything.

The No-Makeup skincare essentials kit is my favorite and a great place to start. It contains all the best Tula products in my opinion! The face filter primer, the signature glow mist and the glow and get it eye balm. If bought separately, this kit would be $96. However, with the bundle discount and my code, the kit is $64!

Now is the best time to kick off a new skin care regimen. This is the simplest kit- a tinted base, a glowing refresher spray and the eye brightening balm. It’s the no-make up makeup look we all need to kick off the new year!

Spending the Winter in Uggs…

I have been buying Uggs ever winter for as long as I can remember. Without a doubt, they are the comfiest and warmest boots out there. I also love that I can match with Emmy- something that we love to do when possible! These gorgeous purple sparkle boots spoke to us! We loved them immediately! There is nothing more ‘Emmy’ than purple and sparkles, her boots were a no-brainer! I am actually having regrets not getting the slippers as well. I am a big fan of their scuffette II and genuine shearling styles- both of which I have had for years and are still going strong.

In these boots, I sized up for Emmy and Elliott just so they will last a little longer. I always do that when it comes to most of their clothes and shoes. Elliott is wearing the classic boot which he can put on and take off himself #win. I took my regular size in the boots. I love the pop of unexpected fun they bring. I actually had a couple compliments from random strangers when we were taking these photos! So fun 🙂
